Our Story:
John DiTomasso purchased Wilson Lawn maintenance in 1976. The company was established in 1945
and owned by Carl Wilson. After working for Carl, John decided Landscaping was his future. In the
early years the company was solely a lawn maintenance company specializing in cutting large lawns.
With a lot of hard work, and John's vision, Wilson Lawn & Landscape has evolved through the years to become the full service lawn maintenance, snow removal, and complete design-build landscaping company that it is today. What makes this company unique is that we are a family owned and operated company able to offer personal care and contact to all of our clients.
John's wife, Kathy, is full time with the company. After beginning with the company in 1986 and completing classes at the Chicago Botanical Gardens, Kathy has grown to love the landscaping business. Her responsibilities include Maintenance and office supervision as well as hands on client interactions and estimating. Kathy designs and installs the seasonal planters and annuals for our customers and feels at home in anyone's perennial garden. In 2016, John's son, Johnny joined the team. Prior to joining us Johnny spent 25 years trading options on the floors of the exchanges in London and Chicago. Johnny has been slowly filling his father's shoes and continued the growth of this unique and amazing company. Charlie, our Operations Manager, is the newest key member of our team. He has a wealth of knowledge that he has amassed over the 20+ years he has been in the landscape field. Over the years, John's sister & brother have both worked part time in the office answering calls, assisting customers and handling accounts. We look forward to the next generation making their contributions to our company as well.
John develops and designs each plan by hand, keeping in mind the unique needs, wants, and budget for each client. We use the finest materials available and always stand by our work.
